PurMaid Terms of Service

Welcome, and thank you for choosing PurMaid’s Healthy Home and Office Cleaning Services.  Please read the following and consult your PurMaid representative with any questions prior to agreeing to service.  Once you are ready to start service, please make the necessary payment arrangements to begin your cleaning service.

Cost Of Service:   PurMaid may at times use a “per labor hour” unit of measurement to determine the final cost of service for any “initial” or “occasional” cleaning visits.  Per labor hour is described as one maid, for one clock hour of time.  You will incur an “initial” cleaning cost the first time we visit your home or office, and an “ongoing”  cleaning cost, should you opt to continue on a recurring basis.  Should you have a budget limit for any “initial” or other cleaning visit, please instruct a PurMaid representative prior to commencement of any cleaning services.  Any “ongoing” costs quoted for regular service intervals shall be based upon home or office conditions in existence at the time such pricing was set, and provided that a complete “initial” cleaning occurred without budget or timing restrictions.  Any changes to frequency through postponement, cancellation or any other reason, shall be reflected in the visit fee levied, and therefore such cleaning visits shall be charged at the rate corresponding with the package and frequency since your most recent cleaning.  Any cleaning visits where at least 6 weeks have lapsed since the most recent cleaning by PurMaid has occurred, or where a remodeling project is either pending or completed, or a move in or move out is occurring, may be charged as an “initial” cleaning at the current per labor hour rate.  Any additions, deletions, or changes to the cleaning tasks and/or altered home or office conditions may require a price adjustment, either up or down.  Any additional tasks added and/or changes in home or office condition which are not inclusive of your selected service package shall incur a surcharge equal to either the current a-la-carte pricing menu or charged at the current per labor hour pricing structure for such additional tasks.

Payments:    Pur Maid accepts the following payment methods:
Visa/Mastercard/American Express/Discover  (A $4 card transaction fee applies)

Checks payable to “Pur Maid”    (Paypal and cash are accepted by special request only)

Service Discounts for providing Payment in Advance

  • 5% discount for paying in advance for 6 visits
  • 7% discount for paying in advance for 10 visits
  • 10% discount for paying in advance for 15 visits

All “initial” services must be secured by credit card in advance upon booking.  All residential cleaning visits must be paid in full on the day of service by one of PurMaid’s accepted payment options.  Failure to do so, due to reasons including but not limited to;  failure to leave a payment on site on day of service, check returned as unpaid, or credit transaction declining will result in a $15 surcharge added to the total for each occurrence.  Tips cannot be added to your cleaning fee, instead, should you wish to tip, you may do so by paying your service providers directly.

Scheduling Appointments:   PurMaid will make every effort to accommodate reasonable requests for clients most preferred days and times for appointments, however; scheduling is always impacted by events of the day.  Arrival times are only estimated times and ranges that may vary from 2 – 4 hours, given circumstances.  Please allow yourself flexibility by either providing PurMaid with a key to your home or office, or by allowing yourself ample time to be available the day of your visit.

Cancellation/Lock-out Fees:   In order to keep our scheduling process most efficient for all PurMaid clients, we require that if you must cancel or reschedule an appointment, that you contact us at least 48 hours of your scheduled time of your cleaning visit.  This contact must be made by calling 1-844-PUR-MAID and speaking with a PurMaid representative, or by emailing to  Please do NOT make scheduling requests with your service providers.  Clients who fail to cancel within the required time frame, will be charged a $50 cancellation fee.

Quality Guarantee:   PurMaid takes satisfaction seriously.  Should there occur a visit where certain cleaning tasks were not completed to a reasonable standard, please inform your PurMaid representative on site immediately for rectification, or should you or they not be present, please call into the PurMaid office at 1-844-PUR-MAID, or email to within 24 hours of such visit.

Undue Risk:   PurMaid provides its cleaning specialists with training in the high quality cleaning processes of your home or office.  These processes also incorporate a high level of safety.  At no time will a cleaning specialist attempt to reach areas in your home or office which would require them to climb higher than the level of a standard step stool or upon any surface which appears unstable.  PurMaid representatives shall not move anything heavier than 35 lbs and cannot use any products that may be deemed to be toxic and unsafe; including but not limited to; such substances containing bleach, amonia, lyes, caustics etc.  The use of these types of equipment and products pose risk of injuries and/or illness, not to mention the risk of damage to your flooring or other finishes.  Any requests to clean behind appliances such as a refrigerator, oven or sofa etc, shall be honored provided that the client moves the item(s) prior to the cleaning to allow access to the desired area(s).  At no time should a client require a PurMaid cleaning specialist to perform a task which that specialist deems unsafe, during the course of a cleaning visit, or for the purpose of making payment for completed services.

Use of Client Products or Equipment:   PurMaid provides its own tools and cleaning supplies to complete cleaning services in your home or office.  Any requests for a PurMaid representative to use a client’s own tools or cleaning supplies will be honored provided that such items shall not pose issues of safety or toxicity.  The use of client vacuums, steam mops, or any other tools or supplies  at the request of the client, shall be used solely at the risk of the client without liability to PurMaid and its representatives in the event of damage.

Communication About Your Home:   At all times, the client agrees to communicate any and all instructions pertaining to the home or office with the PurMaid office ONLY.  At no time shall a client rely upon any cleaning team members to accept instructions about the home.  It is necessary for PurMaid to maintain up to date centralized profile notes and instructions regarding your home in order to deliver consistent results at every visit.   Communication examples including but not limited to; gate codes, alarm codes, special access instructions, key location information, pet instructions, or any other instructions relating to the care and security of your home or office.  These requests should be made to our office by calling 1-844-PUR-MAID, or by email to

Hiring of PurMaid Representatives:   You agree not to hire any past or present PurMaid service provider, other than through our office for a period of not less than 2 years from the date such service provider last worked for PurMaid, for any purpose whatsoever.  In the event that you feel that you must hire this individual in spite of this agreement, our referral fee to you is $2,500 and is due in full immediately upon employment or use of the service provider/past representative, regardless of whether our representative was part time, full time or contracted under any other agreements.

Breakage/Loss:   PurMaid carries Liability insurance. Our liability limits are set to a maximum of 5 times the cost of the service charge on the day in which the breakage/loss occurred. Notification must be made within 48 hours of service.

Items excluded from liability are; cash, jewelry, one-of-a-kind/rare items or hard to find items; items of sentimental value, art, antiques and electronics.

Key replacement / locksmith fees are paid only if keys are lost or miscoded. There is a $50 per location liability limit.
